Jewellery of Aswan

Implemented in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation for Development and Alex Bank, the project trained 181 youth in jewelry-making and beadwork in Aswan. It built a strong local support network for employment and market access, and introduced an intensive Training-of-Trainers program together with DSAF, creating an extensive curriculum combining design and integration between jewelry-making and beadwork.
The project concluded in October 2024, laying the foundation for sustainable growth in Aswan's jewelry and bead embroidery industries. It also focused on building the capacity of local trainers and community-based organizations, and on preserving Aswan's centuries-old beading craftsmanship tradition. Collaborations with local community organizations reinforced long-term impact.
